How to be successful with your "DIET"

To be successful my friends, I would recommend not calling it a diet! Also just call it a life style change! Honestly I think the biggest factor in weight loss is the people that are around you! People that motivate you, people that want to help you! You see it's very common that in a family or a group of friends you'd be the only overweight person, so you'd be going through all of this hardship alone! They don't understand what is going on with you, because they have their own little "skinny People" problem!
You, just like I do, we need the support of people who are actually in the same situation. We need help from people who feel the same exact way as us, who fall under the same temptations and traps! We need the motivation, not from some skinny muscular peppy workout video salesman! We need some one who is in our situation... make his own video... and workout with us everyday. So we can see his significant weight loss, and everyone can be motivated. Because it would be like a tv show, we'd all be losing weight together!
Granted the food companies won't enjoy the fact that we are going to become healthy, because they would be losing so much money. But guess what... you'd be saving a lot of money! Imagine it, next time you go to the grocery store, calculate how much you've spent on junk food! then multiply that with the amount of times a week you buy junk food, then the whole month, and the whole year! Guess what that's a pretty penny that you've spent on junk food. I know I've spent a couple of thousands of dollars on junk food in a couple of months!
So hopefully, those that read this, will find inspiration, or motivation. They'll go with me as I journey and try to get myself into shape. Work out with me, because this is the best we've got, until they come up with the Show that works out with you!

It's been a while!

In all honesty, there wasn't much for me to write about in my diet... I've been fasting for the past couple of days and I've been working at night, so it makes writing a little tougher! But I'm back baby!

Well... today of all days, I was tempted to eat something soooo out there... My friend had an early B-day party, just a few friends... u know a social gathering and this weekend is the real party. So we had a cake earlier today... like a breakfast Birthday!
So do you kno what I did? I ate the cake... and i wasn't worried about it! Do you know why? Because I'm working out, so I burn the calories...
Some of you may say... hey!!!! I say so what? We are all human and we have needs... and we are not perfect. But i'm not saying go out and eat everything. I'm saying leave yourself some room to wiggle...don't confine yourself to a small box, leave some room... for you to make a mistake... but not a big one. Like I say... if you make small mistakes you'll learn from them... but If you try not to make any mistakes at all... you'll make the biggest one because you never learned from your other mistakes!

Diet day.. To many to count

Ok.. Ok... another day for my awesome diet... I almost went off track... but I came back and read what I actually wrote as a reminder... just 2.5 pounds a week... just 2.5 pounds a week that's not a lot to lose... it's pretty easy... and not to stressfull... Today I was out side all day... I went out bowling with my friends... played for about a couple of hours... Man... bowling is great excercise... but... the snacking... horrible... They were eating cheese fries... and non diet soda... Come on! I was being so careful... So I just got a diet soda... and just kept bowling... and let everyone else stuff their faces!!! Ok.. ok... i went off my diet... and I had a few fries... but it's ok... the bowling and the fries even out... just as long as I did my excercises when i got home right? Exactly!

Now i'm going to go into some detail as to exactly what types of excercise I do... Cause I don't have all these fancy equipment to work out with!

So for the running... that's the hard part... seeing as if you are over weight... you wouldn't be able to run... without hurting your joints... So i say... join a fitness club for 6 months... it may cost you 150 bucks... for half a year... but it's a good investment... or if you have some extra money around.. I suggest buying yourself a precor machine... But if you can't do either of those things... or if you want to save money... then I suggest... Power Walking/Walking... walk until your joints and muscles become stronger... then u can start to run...

Now the workouts...

Regular squats... i say... do as many as you can... until it starts to burn... only twice a week though..only twice a week!
Crunches... until ur stomach CRIES!!! no... i'm just kidding... If you want to do crunches you can do it... I suggest... putting a small pillow underneath your back... and don't stress your neck... do it easy and slow... not fast... Slow and Steady will work the muscles to the fullest!
Oh here is a nice little tidbit... a great excercise that you can do at home... for free... Walk up your steps... I heard somewhere that if you walk up a thousand steps... that's alot of steps by the way... and is a great way to work out!

ALSO... one of the best types of work out machines are known as Ellipticals... it is proven that they burn the most calories and work out the entire body! Ellipticals are mostly STEPS!!!!

Sorry for the late update

Today... is the day... where I was really tested... I was actually out of the house... all day at a debate tournament... not in it... judging it... and in the end they gave all the judges a free buffet food... it was at a chinese buffet resturaunt. I knew that certain feeling that was coming over me... the very feeling that I knew would be bad... I needed to Stick with my DIET... My DIET was all I could think of... But how could I stick with MY DIET??!?!?! My DIET... what can I eat? Well first things first... i remember no fatty foods... so I decided to have at it... load up on veggies... and eat protien... and then go home and work my bumm off...

So I went off my Diet... and yet I survived... I didn't stray to far away from my DIET...

I just wanted to prove the fact that If anyone is on a Diet, just because you get off of your diet... it's ok... it's ok... every person can't be strict all the time...In order to get a diet working right... give yourself some wiggle room... If you know you're going to go off of your diet.. then work it off... or even it out!

also here's a little motivation for your DIET!

if you have a goal to end your diet... say in 6 months... you want to lose 60 pounds! That's a really big significant weight loss... Listen here... all you need to do... is lose 2.5 pounds a week... it's very safe lose that much weight... it's not fast and it's not too slow! 2.5 pounds a week equals 10 pounds a month! 120 pounds a year!... that means u need to burn 8750 calories a week... that's 1250 calories a day... Diet will cover most of that... all you need is a good precor machine... an hour on it a day... and your set!

Diet Day 3

Well, today is day three... and I was just about to fall of the wagon... Man... was that close. I don't know what I'm going to do if fell off again. It's really hard to lose weight fast... and I know alot of you want to lose it right away.
But losing weight really fast in a week isn't the way it's really un healthy... it took you a lot of time to put on the weight... so it's gonna take that same amount of time to lose it all.
So say you put 60 pounds in 6 months... that's 10 pounds a month... about... 2.5 pounds a week... So if you do the math, you can easily lose 2.5 pounds a week in a week you lose 10 pounds... and then in 6 months... you lose that 60 pounds!... that's what I'm trying to accomplish... losing that 60 pounds I gained!
So, all you have to do is burn about... 8750 calories a week... that's really easy...
Drink orange juice... eat fruits... cut out rice... drink green tea... walk for 40 mins every day... and you can accomplish anything... you see I just need 6 months to get these 60 pounds off... I know I can do it... I know everyone else can do it... it's not hard... not hard at all!

Second day of DIET

Today, i am doing really well... On wednesday's I like to relax... I let all of my muscles heal... and give myself some time... to just relax... with all of the pressures of school and work, it's hard to stay strict... so i like to think of it not as a diet... but as a lifestyle choice... I want to live longer... and i want to live healthier... but listen to this... Alot of people make a mistake when they go on diets... they think that they can call it a diet... but it's not... when eating healthy it's not called a diet... it's called eating healthy... Diet is defined as being anything any person or thing eats... it's their DIET... but when you want to lose weight... you don't go on a diet... You eat... eat frutis... veggies... and drinks loads of green tea... I drink at least 2 cups a day... the antioxidants in the tea... is soooo good for your body...
Now i have some weird taste buds, so what I'm about to suggest may seem weird... but i like it... Whatever i eat... for lunch or dinner... i drench in lime juice... using the citrus acid to just burn off all of the fat... and have bananas to give u that extra boost you need for your work out...

Now if you have a busy schedule and you can't afford the time to work out... then here are some easy tips... if your are working... in your office... cubicle or whatever... say you work 6-8 hours ... i bet you can find 5 mins every hour... to stand up and do a few squats... or work on your calfs... it's that easy... squatting increases your leg muscles, and in turn helps you butt... and tightens at the same time... now if you do 40 mins every day... see... there is a helpful work out just for work...

My first entry for my Diet.

It's been a while since i've actually dieted and excercise... I let myself go... honestly, i had four months during the summer to get into better shape, but instead i just ate uncontrollably... just kept saying to myself... " I'll start tomorrow" I was in great shape... I am 6'3 and was 280, and most of that weight was pure muscle... but i let myself go... i thought i was going to get skinnier... and instead I put on the weight... so i'm going to attempt this again, and along the way... i will try to motivate you all, and tell you not to make the same mistakes I made...

Today, I jogged lightly for an hour, and lot of you won't be able to, so i recomend walking at first, or if you have the money... sign up for a YMCA, it's a fun place to work out and people don't judge you... I recommend the PRECOR machine, use it for at least an hour to get maximum results. Trust me, I've done it before... I also lift weights, but only to strengthen my muscles in order to hold my weight...

Here's what I ate today...

breakfast... a bowl of smart start healthy heart. Great taste, and it's nutrional values are through the roof.... I also had a cup of orange juice, meaning 8 ounces... that helps burn the fat...

for lunch, I had a salad, with some baked marinate chicken... the lettuce helps burn calories...

and for dinner I had a half cup of rice and some cabbage stew mixed with some lime... the cabbage burns the stomach fat and the lime helps burn the calories... after every meal i try to get a fruit, mostly bananas or oranges... banana's help boost up the metabolism, and the oranges help burns the calories... apples work too, it's just that I'm allergic to them!
